Saint Paul's has been awarded a Sacred Site grant by the New York State Landmarks Conservancy. Read more below!
Picture
In May 2023, the New York Landmarks Conservancy awarded a Sacred Sites grant to Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church to make much-needed and long-overdue repairs and improvements to the church building.
  • The basement entryway has been deteriorating for decades and needs to be replaced completely.
  • The flashing on the transept over the organ pipes is in need of repairs.
We are grateful to the New York State Landmarks Conservancy for their generous grant of $3,000.
As a condition, to receive the grant money, we must raise matching funds of $3,000.

However, the total cost of the repairs is approximately $10,000.
Therefore, in addition to the $3,000 in matching funds, Saint Paul’s must also raise another $4,000 in order to complete the work.

As of July 6, 2023, we are almost 75% of the way to starting work.
Your donation can make this happen.

This is important to me.
It seems easy enough to accomplish.
Can I help? How?

YES, you can!

First of all, PRAY. We are an Episcopal church, in the long Anglican stream of the Christian tradition. Our whole purpose for existing is to worship God worthily, to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ, to help others become his disciples, and to be God's instruments in bringing all of Creation and all humanity to the perfection intended for them by their Creator. Through those who have gone before us, God has given us a beautiful building to use for these purposes.

Pray that we remain faithful to the vocation and mission God has given us, and not lose sight of God's priorities and values.
Second, VISIT US if you can, in person or on line. Get to know us, and our village, our area, and our history. Experience first-hand the amazing ways God has blessed us, and, through us, the ways God wants to bless you. If you are personally undergoing distress; if you are alarmed by the state of the world; if you are anxious, angry, or sad, there is healing and peace here for you.
Third, DONATE.  Your donation does not stop with us. It is not for us to spend on ourselves as we please. It does not go simply to preserve a merely human monument, built by hands, out of wood and stone, metal and glass. It goes to the glory of God. Beauty — the beauty of our architecture, our stained glass, our grounds, our village and region — does not merely serve a purpose; in an important way, beauty is the purpose, the final end to which God has always intended to bring the universe, and you. Bless the world with the beautiful glory of God. Start sharing in that glory now.
