Resources for growth as a disciple of Jesus Christ

Christ gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, which is to build up the body of Christ until we all attain unity of faith, and unity of the knowledge of the Son of God — in other words, until we attain mature adulthood, the measure of Christ’s full stature.  We are no longer to be children, tossed about by waves; no longer children carried away by every wind of teaching, easily swayed by the trickery of people who craftily carry out deceitful schemes.  Instead, practicing the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ, the head.  From him the whole body grows, fitted and held together through every supporting ligament.  As each one does its part, the body grows in love.
(see Ephesians 4:11‑16)

HOW (and why!) TO BE ANGLICAN (Even if you already are)
Wednesdays 4:00 p.m.

There is no such thing, really, as a generic or non-denominational Christian, any more than there is any such thing, really, as a generic human being. We are specific in time, space, appearance, culture, and many other ways.

We will explore the treasures of our Anglican/Episcopal stream of the Christian Tradition to lean how to live out our faith in community with other Christians, and to come to cherish and share our unique treasures (Matthew 13:52).

NOTE: THE FIRST FEW CLASSES will focus on praying the Daily Office (Morning Prayer, Noonday Prayer, Evening Prayer, and Compline) from the Book of Common Prayer, with practice leading them in a group. Those who complete this portion may apply to be licensed to lead the Daily Office in church as public worship.

IN THE BEGINNING: A study of Genesis
Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m.

Knowing how we began with God helps us begin living with God, and tells us who we are, where we are going, and how to get there. Where do our inhumanities come from? Is there hope? The story doesn't make sense without knowing the beginning. Join us for a deep dive into God's - and our - excellent human adventure!
