SUNDAY SERVERS

Acolytes

Picture
Acolytes assist during worship by lighting candles, carrying the cross, and administering the chalice at Communion.

Lectors

Picture
Lectors read the lessons and Prayers of the People at Mass.  We use the English Standard Version translation of the Bible.

Coffee Hour Host

Picture
Friendly hosts are an important aspect of coffee hour fellowship because they help people to feel welcome and at ease as well as keep our community rooms neat and tidy.

Ushers

Picture
This is a great ministry for folks who are outgoing and friendly.  Ushers welcome people to worship, help newcomers, assist people to communion, and manage the rare emergency.

Altar Guild

Picture
Altar Guild volunteers set up the bread, wine and linens for worship, clean up afterward, and bring linens home for laundering. This is a fun way to help behind the scenes; plus the hours are flexible.

Choir

Picture
"To sing is to pray twice."   The choir sings during the 10:00am mass and other special services. Hymns are songs based on words from the Bible.   We sing them together as an act of worshiping God as a community.

Sunday Lay Ministry Schedules

As we ease gently back into worshipping together in person, our need for lay ministries on Sunday has changed.  Ushers must be in place and ready to begin functioning AT LEAST 30 MINUTES before the beginning of Mass.  Ushers are responsible for ensuring compliance with health precautions, including distancing, proper wearing of masks, and hand sanitizing.  Readers will be recruited once usher positions are filled.
