Resources for growth as a disciple of Jesus Christ
Christ gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, which is to build up the body of Christ until we all attain unity of faith, and unity of the knowledge of the Son of God — in other words, until we attain mature adulthood, the measure of Christ’s full stature. We are no longer to be children, tossed about by waves; no longer children carried away by every wind of teaching, easily swayed by the trickery of people who craftily carry out deceitful schemes. Instead, practicing the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ, the head. From him the whole body grows, fitted and held together through every supporting ligament. As each one does its part, the body grows in love.

Classes
Our current class: FINDING FOUNDATIONS
Assumptions and beliefs generally held by most of society are different now than they were even within living memory. The common ground we share with the people we live and work with — even family members — seems to be shrinking. Even among Christians, discussions about faith and morals increasingly, and more quickly, end in an uneasy truce, bland toleration (“agreeing to disagree”), or severed relationships. None of these outcomes embodies or serves the Kingdom of God. We need a hard look at ourselves (and how we got here) in order to grow forward as the Body of Christ in our corner of the world. Join Father Tom for some intellectual and cultural archeology that may shed light on how we can manage our own reactions and recover our mission as God’s emissaries to a sensitive, reactive world.
Most Tuesdays 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Via Zoom.
